Spokeshaves

Here are my spokeshaves-I started off with a Record shave but found it difficult to use on hardwoods. The shaves I use now are of a much better build and leave a gleaming finish on the timber.

Lie-Nielsen Bronze Shave This little gem is quite small but wonderfully made. It has a curved sole for cutting  concave curves. It works beautifully!
Lee Valley Shave This is a great tool! Solidly built with a thick iron and castings it cuts superbly. Comes with a set of shims to close the mouth down to your preference.
Veritas Low Angle Shave An interesting one! It has a reversible nose to allow a flat or curved sole, and has the blade bedded like a wooden shave. Can be awkward to set up but works great on some timbers.
