I have a two car garage door at the front of my workshop. This is great for access but not so good in the Winter as all the heat goes out through it. The wind also blows under it quite bad. As it is getting pretty chilly I decided to do something about it.
As you can see, it is pretty big! 4.1 x 2.1 meters.
I open the door for the last time (for a while!!) to bring in the timber and sheet material.
I frame up some studwork around the door.....
Add some insulation and board over.....
All joints are sealed with silicon to keep it watertight.
A couple of coats of paint and voila, one warm and cosy workshop. Just need to re-arrange my machinery and I'm done.
