Some minor fitting and the leg is offered up-a nice tight fit!
Drill holes for #10 x 3inch screws..
and screw the legs in place. As this is the mock-up I won't glue the legs in place as I will want to refer to it when making the "real" one.
Turn the front legs on the lathe, removing most of the waste. Final shaping will be done once the chair is glued up.
Back legs are from a 4 inch wide blank-first step is to notch the back of the seat.
Notch out the waste on the table saw-width of the leg minus the depth of the rebate.
Rout the rebate on the seat using the router and waste blocks to prevent break out.
Legs fitted to seat-not looking very pretty at the moment.....
Some initial shaping of the seat with my "Mini-grinder"-don't forget those safety glasses!!
