Not the worlds most exciting project, but one that I really need to make!
The plan is to cover the whole south facing wall with cupboards below and
bookcases up to the ceiling. The is a window on this wall so the cases will
envelope this and, hopefully, give a natural built-in look.
Construction Notes
The carcases are all made from 18mm MDF. Not my favorite material but flat,
cheap and readily available. Construction is rebates, glue and nails-nothing
fancy but this will provide plenty of strength. Finish is to be white eggshell
paint. There are eight cabinets in all, including a radiator cabinet, and once
installed face frames and door will be fitted in-situ. Here is a picture of my
Sketchup CAD mock-up. There will be a few changes but this gives the general
idea.
