Kreg Bench Klamp

I recently bought a kreg bench clamp hold down after being told how useful they are by a woodworking chum. I got mine from Axminster, for £28.59. It consists of a metal plate which you mortise into the top of your bench and a separate "mole grips" style clamp with plastic faced jaw. It was easy to fit and is ever so handy for awkward shaped workpieces. Have a look.....

This is what you get-the clamp, metal plate, instructions and various fixings.
Locate the plate on your bench and mark around it...
remove most of the waste with a router..
Mark out for the "key hole" and remove extra material..
screw the plate to the bench.
Fit the screw to the clamp and your ready to go!
Fitting took about 5 minutes. The clamp is ever so handy for odd shaped pieces when you can't use the bench dogs or vice. It can be fitted and removed in seconds. Additional mounting plates are available so you can fit a few to the bench top in useful locations. A big Philly thumbs up!!
